This laboratory, which specializes in the mechanics of structures (static, dynamic, instabilities), materials (behavior laws) and finite elements, develops mechanical models and technologies related to 3 principal themes: ocean renewable energies (floating wind turbine, wind turbine digital twin), seabed surface links for the offshore environment, as well as mechanics for processes and catalyst supports.
The laboratory contributes to several flagship technological developments, within the framework of industrial partnerships, in the field of floating wind technology with Float4Wind, and in the field of drilling with Clip-riser™ technologies.
In order to inform and validate its research and innovation activities, it has access to mechanical test facilities on industrial structures including medium- to high-capacity test benches.
